We are off again to the next campsite, which is East Fleet Farm Camping, in Weymouth Dorset (www.awayresorts.co.uk)
I just can't look. We are in Dartmouth and we have to go across the river on a Ferry, never done this before--- how scary can this be???
We have arrived at the campsite, all set up and we are ready to go to the pub onsite to watch the footy, how exciting is this???
Some grass area's around the caravan, some space for me to explore and to play, just perfect
This is the building on site, which includes guest services, a shop with a big range of products and a bar and restaurant
It's getting tense to watch it
And what do I spot there in front of me, a Doggy Menu card and can you see on the the drinks section what they offer??? Beer for dogs!!! Funny name , it's called Bottom Sniffer Beer.
Just dreaming about this beer, hopefully I can taste it before we move on again
We are off on a bike ride today to have a look at the Old Harbour and Pleasure Beach in Weymouth, just love going on a bike ride. I can see everything
We are off to Durdle Dor (www.visit-dorset.com) and to see more of the Jurassic Coast, weather is still on our side
Long way down, but the beach looks amazing, worth the effort
Look at the clear blue water, so inviting, but I am not that brave as these 2 dogs are, I am happy just to watch them
Meet Ritchie, could he be my next zoomie buddy? Given him some time, as he just a pup
I have been hard at work today, going backwards and forwards, up and down the hill and stairs to make sure my whole family was safe. Now I am sooooooo tired, need some sleep, will be full of energy tomorrow for more adventures.
Like I said, I had a very long sleep and I am full of beans again, ready to go back on the bike. We are off to Portland (part of Weymouth) they have a good bicycle network available, but if you don't want to ride a bike, bus service is very good too enabling you to see a lot of places
This is the map to show you where Portland is
Amazing views and places to see
A quick break before we move on to see more of Portland
As we are staying a bit longer at this campsite, we go time to see more places. We off today to Norton to get the Steam train to Corfe Castle and Swanage (www.swanagerailway.co.uk)
Of course we had to stop for ice-ccream after exploring Swanage--------------------------------just love dog ice-cream
Train from Swanage to Corfe Castle - a National Trust Place, (www.nationaltrust.org.uk) You can see the castle and the surrounding area without paying for any entrance fee.
Another place to see, not far from Weymouth is Lulworth Castle, with a cove and a beach to explore
